Obituary for Erma H. Quagliaroli (Hoffman)

Erma (Hoffman) Quagliaroli, 92, of Windsor Locks, loving wife of the late Sylvio J. Quagliaroli entered into Eternal Rest on Saturday, August 26, 2017, at John Dempsey Hospital. Erma was born October 30, 1924, in the Broad Brook section of East Windsor, the daughter of the late Adam and Minnie (Kirchoff) Hoffman. Erma was born and raised in Broad Brook and moved to Windsor Locks in 1955 where she and Sylvio made their home. She was employed as a supervisor at Hartford Steam Boiler from which she retired in 1975 after 32 years. She was a faithful member of St.John's Episcopal Church in Warehouse Point. Erma is survived by two nieces, Karen Griffin and her husband, Bill of Somers and Lynn Ann Gallagher and her husband, Peter of Campton, NH; two cousins, Neil Quagliaroli and Jerry Quagliaroli both of Windsor Locks and several other nieces, nephews, and cousins. Erma is also survived by a great-nieces and five great-nephews, Melissa Griffin Nein, Michael and Matthew Griffin, Jamie, Shannon and Adam Gallagher; four great-great nieces, eight great-great nephews. Erma's family would like to give a special thank you to Al Rubino, a truly devoted friend for your many acts of kindness and devotion. The family would also like to thank Lucille March, Erma's caregiver for the wonderful and compassionate care given. Erma was predeceased by a brother, Earl Hoffman and a sister, Myrtle Underwood. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family during visiting hours on Saturday, September 2, 2017, from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at the Windsor Locks Funeral Home, 441 Spring St., Windsor Locks. A funeral procession will form at 10:30 am at the funeral home for a funeral service to be celebrated at 11 am at St. John's Episcopal Church, 92 Main St., East Windsor. Burial will follow in Melrose Cemetery, East Windsor. In lieu of flowers please make a memorial donation to a charity of your choice.
