Obituary for Adam Joseph "Joe" Rittlinger

Adam Joseph “Joe” Rittlinger, 88, of Windsor Locks, beloved husband of Sylvia (Cyr) Rittlinger, entered into eternal peace on October 25, 2019, surrounded by his loving family. Son of the late Joseph and Filomena (Celantano) Rittlinger, he was born in Manhattan, NY on July 6, 1931. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. Joe was a long time resident of Windsor Locks and enjoyed a successful career as a Senior Accountant for Kaman Corporation for 35 years. He enjoyed spending time with family and especially cherished time spent with his grandson Mike. Joe was also a dedicated New York Yankees fan who never missed an opportunity to watch his favorite team play and win. The family would like to thank the staff of St. Francis Hospital for their compassionate care of Joe in his final days.
In addition to his wife Sylvia, Joe is survived by his children, Susan Kondzior and her husband James of Windsor, and Joey Rittlinger and his caretaker Andy Dauphin of Claremont, NH; his grandson, Michael Kondzior; his brother, Ronald Rittlinger and his wife Gail of St. Augustine, FL; his brother-in-law, Robert Milesi, his very special cousin Noreen Morgan and her husband Charles, his nieces and nephews, and his special friends Bob Shannon and Tony Ganinni. He was predeceased by his sister, Barbara Milesi.
Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family on Friday, November 1, 2019, from 9:30 – 10:30 am at the Windsor Locks Funeral Home, 441 Spring St., Windsor Locks. A funeral service celebrating Joe’s life will be held at 10:30 am at the funeral home. Burial with military honors will follow in St. Mary’s cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations honoring Joe’s life may be made for his son Joey's care at Bear Den Project, 37 Arch Rd., Claremont, NH 03743.
