In 1995, he and his wife became snowbirds, living in Florida during the wintertime, but became permanent residents in 2000. They returned back to Enfield, and closer to their family, in 2007. He enjoyed bowling, playing cards, and was an avid reader. In addition to his loving wife, Jacqueline, Alexius is survived by two sons, Alan Desrosiers and his wife, Lorna of Enfield and David Desrosiers and his wife, Linda of Somers; five grandchildren, Diane, Alexandra, Austin, Christopher, and DJ; and his great grandchildren, Spencer, Hayley, Kameron, Trenten, Tzipporah, Christopher, and Jonah.
