Donna Lauria, 60, of Enfield, beloved wife of 25 years to Samuel F. Lauria, passed away in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loving family, Friday, July 5, 2019. Born and raised in Roanoke, VA, Donna was the daughter of the late George and Carrie (Carter) Farmakis. She resided in Enfield most of her life. Donna was a graduate of Holyoke Community College where she earned her degree and became a Veterinarian Technician. A true animal lover, she cared deeply about the animals she treated. She was one of a group of founding members of the Enfield Dog Park, and was instrumental in making it into a special place for all Dog lovers in town. She will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her. Besides her husband, Donna leaves two “step”children, Christopher Lauria and his wife Jessica Lauria of Marlborough, CT, Amie Lauria of Westbrook, CT, two grandchildren, Ravyn and Dominic Lauria, a sister-in-law, Charlene Lauria of Enfield, and an Aunt, Sylvia Austin Carter of Roanoke, VA. She was predeceased by her twin sister, Debbie Farmakis. Calling hours will be held from 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. followed immediately by a Celebration of Life at 12:30 p.m. Friday, July 12, 2019 at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd., Enfield.
