June Christine Barnett, 55, of Enfield, entered into Eternal Rest on Saturday, September 7, 2019, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on February 12, 1964 in New York City, the loving daughter to James Barnett and the late Marie Miller. She graduated from St. Vincent Ferra High School in 1982, and moved to Connecticut shortly after where she enrolled at UCONN in the Business Administration program, graduating in 1991. June worked as an Insurance Executive for Arbella Insurance Group for many years before retiring in 2002. She was an avid New York Giants fan, enjoyed music and dancing, and was a talented gardener. June loved to host parties- always welcoming all who showed with a smile. She had a great compassion for others, so much so she served as an advocate for those less fortunate, especially the sick. During her illness she would make sure to check in on the other patients to ensure that all of their needs were being met. Her happiest days were spent with her family, especially on the beaches of Fire Island, Cape Cod and Ogunquit, ME. In addition to her father, James Barnett, June leaves her two daughters, Blaine Fisher and her partner, Nicholas Carpio and Caitlin Fisher and her partner, Patrick Danford; and her granddaughter, Teagan Maureen. June was anxiously awaiting the arrival of a new grandson. She is also survived by her Weintraub cousins, Daniel and his wife, Halina, and their son, Joshua, Robert and his partner, Kerri, and their children, Melanie and Jonathan, Stephanie and her daughter, Madeline, and Richard and his partner, Donna Manning, as well as her Barnett cousins, Terry, Denise and her sons, Tyler and Spencer King and Rosemary Lyons and her husband, Jay. She was predeceased by her mother; grandparents; aunts, Mary Elizabeth Helmold, Rosemary Barnett, and Helen Weintraub; uncles, Richard Barnett and Aaron Weintraub; and her cousin, Bruce Weintraub.A Mass will be held on Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at 11:30 am at Holy Family Church, 23 Simon Rd., Enfield, CT 06082.
