Obituary for Margaret Mary "Maggie" Driscoll

Margaret Mary Driscoll “Maggie”, age 82, of Bolivia, NC died on October 15, 2019 surrounded by her family and friends. Maggie was born in the Bronx, NY on August 18, 1937 to the late Jerome J. and Josephine Dursa Driscoll. She is survived by her siblings Robert Driscoll (Carroll) of Mendham, NJ, and Joanne Graff-Perzan (Rick) of Leland, NC as well as many nieces/nephews and their families, her beloved German Shepherd, Shadow,best friend of 60 years, Dot Buterbaugh of CA, and many close friends in the military and in her Winding River North Carolina community. Maggie is predeceased by her brother Jerome J. Driscoll Jr., nephew Jerome J. Driscoll III, and niece Kathleen Driscoll.
Maggie had 43 years of combined active duty military and civilian federal service. She helped break new ground for females in the United States Air Force and became the 5th ever female to be promoted to the rank of Chief Master Sergeant. After retiring from the Air Force, Maggie began a career as a labor relations supervisor. She was recognized throughout her career with many military and civilian service awards. Maggie was loved and well respected by all who knew her.
Calling hours will be from 10:00am to 11:00am on November 9, 2019 at Windsor Locks Funeral Home , 441 Spring St., Windsor Locks, CT with a funeral service starting at 11:00.
