Yvonne B. (Bellegarde) Thibodeau, 93, beloved wife of 72 years to the late Maurice “Buddy” Thibodeau , entered into eternal peace on Monday, August 5, 2019 at St. Francis Hospital. Daughter of the late Alphonse and Delima (Baillargeon) Bellegarde,Yvonne was born in Lewiston ME, before moving to Windsor Locks. She was employed at Hamilton Standard and afterward she dedicated her time to raising her family. Yvonne’s faith played a large role in her life. She was an active communicant of St. Robert and St. Mary church. She also served as a Spiritual Director, and was involved in Prison Ministry for 10 years.
Her greatest devotion was to her husband and life partner, Buddy. Yvonne is survived by her four children, Daniel Thibodeau and his wife Dawn of South Windsor, Madelyn Watson and her husband James of Bradenton, FL, Michael Thibodeau and his wife Patricia of Cancun, Mexico, John Thibodeau and his wife Heather of Windsor Locks. She also leaves six grandchildren, Sonja, Shannon, Daniel Jr., Casey, Skylar, and Mason, a sister, Raymonde Garrity, as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her loving husband Buddy, she was predeceased by her sisters, Collette Poulin and Paulette Castonguay, and her brother, Joseph Bellegarde.
Visitation hours will be held on Thursday, August 8, 2019 from 4 -8 p.m. at St. Joseph's Residence, 1365 Enfield St., Enfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, August 9, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph's Residence. Committal will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Windsor Locks.
